Allergen Information and Policy

At C Cake, we take food safety and allergen awareness seriously.

All of our products are provided with an allergen information label identifying the allergens contained in the ingredients used to make the selected cake.

Please be aware, however, that our cakes are prepared in a shared preparation area using shared equipment and utensils. As a result, although we take appropriate care when handling ingredients and preparing our products, we cannot guarantee that our cakes are completely free from traces of allergens other than those specifically identified on the allergen information label.

Customers with food allergies or intolerances should carefully review the allergen information provided and contact us before placing an order if they have any concerns regarding allergens or cross-contact.

If you have a severe or life-threatening food allergy, you should consider whether our products are suitable for you before placing an order.

Packaging Safety Warning & Disclaimer

Please be aware that our cake packaging and decorative elements may incorporate cardboard, metal, plastic, fabric, and other small components. Customers are advised to keep all packaging materials strictly out of reach of children and to ensure they are not used as toys. Small parts pose a potential choking hazard and risk of airway obstruction.

Non-Edible Cake Decorations and Accessories

Some cakes may contain or be decorated with non-edible inserts, supports, accessories or decorative elements made from various materials. These may include, but are not limited to, floral wrapping wire, ribbons, wooden skewers, plastic spacers, plastic inserts, plastic support dowels or stakes, and decorative items made of plastic, paper, metal or other materials.

These items are not edible and must be removed before the cake is cut, served or consumed. They may be small, sharp, pointed or otherwise capable of causing injury if swallowed or handled improperly.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all non-edible items are identified and removed from the cake before serving. Children must not be allowed to handle or remove these items without appropriate adult supervision.

The presence of non-edible decorations or support materials is an inherent feature of certain cake designs and does not constitute a defect in the cake. We accept no responsibility for injury, damage or loss resulting from the consumption, swallowing or improper handling of any non-edible cake component, where such component has been clearly identified or is reasonably apparent as non-edible.

Amendments, Rescheduling and Refunds

If you wish to request a change, rescheduling or cancellation of your order, you must contact us at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection date and time.

  • More than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection: You may reschedule your order, change the cake design, or cancel the order for a full refund, without charge.
  • Between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection: You may reschedule your order or change the cake design free of charge. If you wish to cancel the order, a £10 platform and payment processing fee will be deducted from the refund, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method.
  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection: No cancellations, refunds, exchanges, rescheduling or design changes will be accepted.

Once the preparation or production of a cake has commenced, or the cake has been completed, no refund, exchange, rescheduling or design change will be permitted under any circumstances, regardless of the reason for the request.

Storage and Consumption

Unless otherwise stated, all of our fresh cream cake products must be refrigerated and stored at a temperature of 2–4°C prior to consumption.

Upon receiving your cake, please place the cake, together with its original packaging, in a refrigerator immediately and keep it refrigerated until ready to serve. The cake should be removed from refrigeration only when it is ready to be served and should be consumed as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the cake is stored appropriately and maintained at the recommended temperature after delivery or collection.

Best Before and Shelf Life

All products are provided with an allergen information label displaying a handwritten or printed best-before date.

For the best quality, freshness and taste, we recommend that all cakes are consumed on the day of delivery or collection.

Cake Transportation and Handling

To help ensure that your cake remains in good condition during transportation, please observe the following precautions:

  • Keep the cake level at all times. The cake should be placed on a flat, stable surface during transportation. We strongly recommend placing a non-slip mat underneath the cake box to help prevent movement.
  • If carrying the cake by hand, please keep it as level and steady as possible and always support the base of the cake box from underneath with one hand.
  • When transporting the cake by car, please drive at a steady and moderate speed and avoid sudden turns, hard braking and sudden acceleration.
  • On uneven, rough or poorly surfaced roads, please reduce your speed as much as reasonably possible to minimise excessive movement and vibration.
  • Throughout the entire transportation process, the cake and its packaging must be protected from impact, crushing, pressure or other physical damage.
  • Do not tilt the cake box or place the cake at an angle, and avoid excessive shaking or movement, as this may cause the cake to shift, become misaligned, collapse between layers or become deformed.

Once the cake has been collected or delivered, the customer is responsible for ensuring that it is transported and handled with appropriate care. Damage caused by improper transportation or handling after collection or delivery will not be considered a product defect.

Fresh Fruit Oxidation

We guarantee that all fruit used in our cakes is freshly purchased.

Please note that certain fresh fruits, including but not limited to mangoes, blueberries, apples, pears, bananas and grapes, may naturally undergo oxidation (polyphenol oxidation) once cut and exposed to air. This may cause the exposed flesh of the fruit to develop varying degrees of browning or darkening, and in some cases may appear almost black.

This is a natural process and does not, in itself, indicate that the fruit is spoiled or unsafe to eat, nor does it constitute a defect in the cake or affect the quality or food safety of the product.

We will take reasonable measures to minimise the rate and extent of oxidation, but due to the natural characteristics of fresh fruit, we cannot guarantee that oxidation or discolouration can be completely prevented.

Custom Inscriptions & Personalisation

While we always endeavour to accommodate requests for special inscriptions, messages, or custom decorative elements on our cakes and packaging, these cannot be guaranteed. Due to high operational volumes and strict production schedules, customisation requests may occasionally be omitted.

Please note that we accept no liability or responsibility for any omitted, incorrect, or missing inscriptions, and no refunds or compensation will be issued in such instances. By placing an order, customers acknowledge and accept this condition. We kindly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

General Information and Custom Orders

Our cakes are handcrafted products, and each cake is individually made by our pastry chefs. Due to the handmade nature of our products, it is not always possible to reproduce a cake exactly, even when made by the same pastry chef using the same design as a reference.

Accordingly, we do not guarantee that any order will be an exact replica of a reference image, previous order or other cake design. We will, however, make every reasonable effort to reproduce and closely match the requested design, appearance and overall style.

For custom orders, ingredients, colours, proportions, finishes and decorative details may vary slightly from the reference design due to the availability and natural characteristics of ingredients, as well as the handcrafted nature of the product.

Please also be aware that allergen exposure and cross-contact risks remain applicable to custom orders, as our products are prepared in a shared preparation area using shared equipment and utensils.

If you have any questions, concerns or issues regarding your order or our products, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be very happy to assist you and provide clarification as soon as possible. You can contact us by email at ccakeuk@gmail.com, or via SMS or WhatsApp message at +44 7419822882. Please note that this number does not accept telephone calls.
